Finasteride Hair Loss Prescription Medication

Finasteride is a steroid reductase inhibitor and hair loss treatment. The measure of DHT, the hormone dihydrotestosterone in the body, is lowered significantly and may hinder hair loss in men.

Finasteride tablets indicated as a treatment for hair loss in MEN ONLY, and Women should never take the medication. Finasteride may cause serious issues with pregnancy or for women wanting to become pregnant. Women should avoid these pills altogether. Men ages 45 and older who have BPH should note that their PSA levels could lower significantly. Men older than 55 have a higher risk of prostate cancer.

If you forget to take Finasteride one day, do not take two dosages to make up for the missed dose, forget the missed day and take one dose at the same time that day and every day as mentioned.
